11 March 2008 Back from tour with a DVD in our pockets! Thanks to everyone for one of our best European tours yet - 17 shows in 18 days, across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and an unforgettable evening in Belgium. We feel like we have a family over there and can't wait to see you all again in the Fall. Meantime, speaking of family, we've played more at the MS Stubnitz art/ship than we have most clubs in NYC. They've audio and video recorded every one of our shows, and have put together a beautiful live concert DVD - the first release on their label. It's on sale on our website today; don't miss it!! |

14 January 2008 Just announced! GUTBUCKET AT BOWERY BALLROOM with the WORLD/INFERNO FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY! Get your tickets now before it sells out! 2 December 2007 We welcome our new drummer Adam D Gold to the band! Over a really fun fall, we played 14 states and 5 countries, debuted at Carnegie Hall, and have a ton of new material for a new disc which we'll record in 2008. You can check out some new videos of us playing on Youtube. In the meanwhile, we're getting set for our Feb 2008 European tour and more great things to come. See you in the new year! |

25 October 2007 What a great tour - across the USA and back to play Carnegie Hall. Wait Your Turn - Ken's new piece for the orchestra + Gutbucket - was a great success. Thanks to the American Composers Orchestra for having us! Watch out UK - we're playing London Jazz Festival on November 25 at the Southbank Centre (Purcell Room) with a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3! Yeah! Plus visiting Amsterdam, Vienna & Minden, Germany. |

1 June 2007 Fun with Gutbucket+Ethel in Germany! Thanks to all who came out to our mini-German tour in Cologne, Mannheim, and Hannover. We hope to bring this project back across the pond soon... and stay tuned for more performances in the USA. The Cologne Triennale performance of the Gutbucket-Ethel Octet is supported by USArtists International, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts and managed by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. Additional funding is provided by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. |

2 January 2007 Our ONLY NY SHOW until late March will be this Wed January 10 at an amazing festival of music called the Winter Jazz Fest. It's 20 internationally touring alterna-jazz acts, on all 3 spaces of the Knitting Factory. We are on the MAIN STAGE at 8pm! Come make it out, it will be a one-of-a kind night of music. Then, we're off to Europe, first show Jan 20. AND see us again across the USA this March... more details to come. |

29 October 2006 We're psyched to finally debut JOHNNY THE GIANT KILLER at BAM Cafe this Friday Nov 3 at 9pm! A whole new original soundtrack performed by us with a projection of the very first full-length French animated film! It's a free show; and we hope all of you can come. We probably won't have a chance to do this again in NYC any time soon. We're hitting the road again this fall with some new tunes and still playing a ton from Sludge Test. We've been psyched about all your reactions to our new stuff in all of our 2006 touring, so we're happy to get back on the road agin. Here's a schedule! |

21 July 2006 Great times at the Bang on a Can Marathon NYC (3000 people there!), three shows in France (thanks for the amazing support there, too, esp. Guillaume and everyone at Jazz a Vienne), Copenhagen Jazz Festival.... we're wiped out but totally happy after our winter-spring touring. We've got two dates in August with Ethel, in NYC and in Austria on an amazing festival, the Saalfelden Jazz Festival. As fall hits, we're hitting the US again; look for us back in Europe this winter. |

31 May 2006 Thank you to all the great people in Eberswalde and Amsterdam who made our Memorial Day weekend rock Europe-stijl. We're back and playing the HUGE FREE CONCERT, the Bang on a Can Marathon this Sunday June 4! We're on at about 3pm -- the concert starts at 11:30am outdoors, inside at 2pm and until 10pm at the World Financial Center downtown in NYC. Plus Boston & Philly! ... check out the shows page. |

12 May 2006 We're exhausted! What an amazing tour. We were blown away by the support of fellow musicians, promoters, and all of YOU, coming to see us again and again! Two months through Europe & the USA has left us drained but we've still got more in us for some BIG shows coming up... We've got TONIC on SATURDAY 5/20 (!!!) to celebrate coming back home, then a week later, we're back to Germany to Eberswalde (Berlin) and our Amsterdam debut at the heralded Bimhuis club!
